FAQ & Shipping
What Payment Methods Are Accepted?
Payment will be accepted through PayPal. If you are local to New England, we can arrange for a pickup. Local pickups are cash only. Payment plans can be made available on a case-by-case basis.
A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to hold an animal. The length of the hold will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Failure to pay the remaining balance by that time will result in the deposit being forfeit.
How Does Shipping Work?
Shipping is not included in the price of the animal. Please inquire about shipment price prior to purchase. Shipping is done via FedEx Priority Overnight through Ship Your Reptiles. Temperatures must not be below 32 degrees and not exceed 90 degrees on both ends in order for us to ship. No exceptions will be made. We reserve the right to delay shipment based on weather conditions and shipments will only be sent on Mondays or Tuesdays. Animals will be packed in an appropriately sized insulated box with packing material and a heat pack as necessary. Deli cups will be used to contain the reptile. Please be aware of your state's laws regarding exotic animal ownership; we will not be responsible for violations regarding these laws. International shipping is not available at this time. Combined shipping is available; please inquire for further details.
Live Arrival Guarantee
We guarantee live arrival based on the following conditions. An adult must be present to receive the animal on the first delivery attempt. If this will not be possible, please request the animal be shipped to your nearest staffed FedEx location and held for pickup. Temperatures in your area must be between 32 degrees Fahrenheit and 90 degrees. In most cases, FedEx Priority Overnight has the package being delivered by 10:30am, though it extends to noon in some areas. We must be notified within an hour of arrival via email, voice mail, text message, Facebook message, or other arranged means of communication.
In the event an animal arrives dead, we must be notified immediately. Photographic evidence will be asked to be provided and we reserve the right to request the animal be returned to us. Return shipping will be paid by us. Claims for dead arrival must be received within one hour of recorded delivery time. Claims for late arrival must be received within two hours of recorded delivery time. Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless approved through FedEx in the result of a delay. Full refund of the cost of the reptile will be provided in the case it arrives deceased with no delays. For a delivery to be considered late, it must arrive 60 seconds or more after the FedEx guaranteed delivery time.
Priority Overnight insurance is required to cover live shipments at the cost of $2.50/ $100 insured value. If you decline insurance for any ShipYourReptiles shipment, you are not eligible to receive a refund for the shipping charge or a payment for the value of your shipment.
